Psychological Assistance Dogs UK News Feed

We are a group of professionals dedicated to establishing a charity for the training of PADs in the UK. Visit us on the web at PADogsuk.org.

Rich Burgess approached us with a novel idea: Why not combine his interests in Psychological Assistance Dogs with his love of American Football, and do some good in the process?

Rich plays on the defensive line for the Chester Romans.  Says Rich, “PADsUK is taking something that works in the US and bringing it here to the UK.  The same thing is happening with American Football!”

Go Romans!

And to celebrate that similarity, Rich is fundraising for PADsUK by growing his beard all season, and shaving only if they lose a match.  He wants people to sponsor him in this mad endeavour by pledging donations for each sad razor that goes unused every time the team wins a match, starting this Sunday. Last year the team won five out of their ten matches - let’s all cheer for them this year!

PADsUk needs your support to help us run our organization.  Your donations will help us assess clients, train them and their dogs, pay for insurance and other business expenses, and purchase much needed items for training and promotional purposes.

If you would like to pledge money towards Rich’s mad endeavour (and hopefully see him looking like Grizzly Adams at the end of it), please email info@padogsuk.org with your pledge.  No amount is too small or too large.  We hope to have a full donation page up shortly.  You can follow the team’s progress at www.chesterromans.com

Here’s a picture of Rich just before the start of the season.  Lets see just how scruffy he gets.
